mission with the carpet soaking wet.

At 4:30 Sunday afternoon Pres. Hinckey, our stake president, came to the house to set us apart for our mission. Besides members of our family, Carol and Bill were also with us. Roy joined us for dinner and it was a fun dinner.

Monday we were up early to say goodbye to Julia and Sadie. Sadie was sad and wouldn’t give us hugs. Julia was sad too and we shed a few tears. Bill and Carol arrived at 9:00 to drive us to the MTC. We somehow got all the luggage and ourselves into the car and made our way to Provo for the venture to begin. Bill and Carol accompanied us to our room. Carol helped me unpack, make the bed etc. We felt like we were in college again and enjoyed some good laughs. It was hard to say goodbye but we will see them once again before we leave.

Wow...nothing like traveling light!
Seriously, it's great to get the updates. I didn't realize it, but Vivian and I blogged more than 7 years ago when went and adopted Sage in Kazakhstan. We get a daily journal and posted pictures, and never even realized what trendsetters we were!
Wow, you weren't kidding. You really were packed in there. I'm glad you made it safely and got settled.
I'm sorry I missed you...Nancie is coming in the day you leave for MX. What time is your flight and maybe we'll see you at the airport.
Good luck with everything!

Bon Voyage, Elder and Sister Foley,
It was great talking with you this evening and being able to tell you goodbye from here in Dortmund, Germany. You are just leaving as we are preparing to return home in one short month. We are so proud of you both. You will be great missionaries and you will love all the experiences you will share together. Love, Elder and Sister Jones
